1. About us and these terms

LexSpeakAI® is a trading name of LexTalkAI Intelligence Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17024893), with registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

These Terms of Service govern your use of all LexSpeakAI® services including our website (lexspeakai.com), voice AI service (LexSpeak Voice™), and all document services (LexSpeak Brief™, Agent™, Para™, Counsel™, and related products) (collectively the "Services").

By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Nature of our service — please read carefully

2.1 We are a technology service provider

LexTalkAI Intelligence Ltd is a technology service provider, not a law firm. LexSpeakAI® is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or any other legal regulatory body, and is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

2.2 We provide legal information, not legal advice

Our Services provide automated legal information, procedural information, administrative support, document preparation, and AI-generated legal information packs.

Our Services do not provide legal advice specific to your individual circumstances, reserved legal activities as defined by the Legal Services Act 2007, representation in any legal proceedings, or a solicitor-client relationship of any kind.

We do not advise on, investigate or represent anyone in a claim, we do not refer claims to anyone, and we do not take a share of any compensation. Each product is sold at a fixed price, whatever the outcome of your matter. LexSpeakAI® does not receive introduction or referral fees from law firms.

2.3 LexSpeak Counsel™ — your full legal information pack

LexSpeak Counsel™ sets out the full picture for the kind of matter you describe — what the law says, what your rights are, and every option open to you, with what each one involves: the steps, typical costs, timescales and risks. It is legal information, organised around the facts you give us and drawn from our verified legal knowledge base. It does not give a view on your chances of success, value any claim, or tell you which option to choose; those decisions are yours. It is not a solicitor's professional opinion and should not be treated as such. For complex, contested, or high-stakes matters, independent review by a qualified solicitor before acting on any output is the prudent course.

2.4 AI-generated outputs

All outputs generated by LexSpeakAI® are produced by artificial intelligence grounded in verified UK legal knowledge sources. While we take care to ensure accuracy, AI systems can make errors. Outputs should be reviewed carefully before use. For high-stakes matters, professional review is strongly recommended.

2.5 Confidentiality and legal professional privilege

We keep your information confidential and protect it as described in our Privacy Policy. Because Lex is not a lawyer, what you tell LexSpeakAI® is not protected by legal professional privilege. In some disputes, the other side or a court could ask for it to be disclosed as evidence. Keep this in mind when deciding what to share.

3. Eligibility

To use our Services you must be at least 18 years old, have a legal matter connected to England and Wales (our Services cover the law of England and Wales only — we are unable to assess matters governed by Scottish or Northern Irish law), and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Your Case ID

When you use our Services, Lex generates a unique Case ID for your matter. This Case ID links your triage transcript, documents, and correspondence for that matter and is valid for 24 months from generation. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for using documents produced by LexSpeakAI® responsibly and lawfully.

5. Products, pricing, and payment

5.1 Free services

The following are provided free of charge: one voice triage call with Lex per new matter, your triage transcript and case summary delivered by email, and Case ID generation.

5.2 Paid services

Current prices are displayed on our website at lexspeakai.com. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5.3 Payment

Payment is processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details. For one-off services, payment is taken at the time of purchase and documents delivered following successful payment. For subscription services, payment is taken monthly in advance and auto-renews unless cancelled.

5.4 Refund policy

One-off products are non-refundable once delivered. This is because each product involves the immediate creation of a personalised digital service. By purchasing a one-off product, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that, once the service has been fully performed, you lose the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Exception — material errors: If a document contains a material error — meaning it does not reflect the information you provided or contains a significant factual inaccuracy — contact support@lexspeakai.com within 7 days with your Case ID. We will remake the document at no charge or issue a full refund at our discretion.

LexSpeak Voice™ subscription: You may cancel at any time via the subscription management link in your welcome email or by contacting support@lexspeakai.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no pro-rata refunds are given for the remainder of that period. 14-day cooling-off: if you cancel within 14 days of first purchasing, you will receive a refund of that first payment, less a proportionate charge for the part of the service already supplied at your request. After the first 14 days, the end-of-period cancellation terms above apply.

6. Accuracy and AI limitations

LexSpeakAI® uses AI grounded in verified UK legal knowledge sources. We update our knowledge base regularly. However, AI systems can make errors. If you believe any output is incorrect, contact support@lexspeakai.com with your Case ID. We will review and correct material errors within 24 hours. We maintain an accuracy register of all reported issues.

To the extent permitted by law, LexSpeakAI® accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs in high-stakes situations without independent professional verification. Section 9 sets out what we cannot exclude.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use our Services to provide false information about your legal matter, obtain documents for fraudulent or illegal purposes, misrepresent the nature or authority of documents produced by LexSpeakAI®, scrape or reproduce our Services for commercial purposes without written permission, or use our Services in any way that violates applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual property

LexSpeakAI® and LexSpeak® are registered trademarks of LexTalkAI Intelligence Ltd in the United Kingdom (UK00004340190, Nice Classes 9, 35, 42, 45). LexSpeak Brief™, Agent™, Para™, Counsel™, Voice™, Hearing Brief™, Bridge™, and The LexSpeak Collective™ are unregistered trademarks of LexTalkAI Intelligence Ltd. The software, design, content, and functionality of our Services are owned by LexTalkAI Intelligence Ltd.

Documents drafted using information you provided are produced for your personal use. You own the content of those documents. We retain no claim over their substance. We may use anonymised and aggregated data to improve our Services — we will never identify you or your specific matter.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we do not accept liability for loss arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs without independent professional advice; we do not accept liability for the outcome of any legal matter or proceeding; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim; we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive losses.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email where we hold your address and by posting the updated Terms with an updated effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you have a complaint, contact support@lexspeakai.com — we aim to resolve complaints within 14 days. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may seek resolution through the courts of England and Wales.
