Everything you need to know about LexSpeakAI™, your purchase, your documents, and your data.
Important: LexSpeakAI™ is a technology service. Lex provides legal information — not legal advice. Nothing Lex tells you creates a solicitor-client relationship. Only a qualified solicitor can advise on your specific situation. If you need a referral, ask Lex about LexSpeak Bridge™.
What LexSpeakAI™ actually is
LexSpeakAI™ is a voice-first AI legal navigation platform. You talk to Lex — our AI legal navigator — and Lex helps you understand your legal position, draft documents, build evidence bundles, and navigate the process for employment, housing, debt, and civil dispute matters in England and Wales.
Lex is not a solicitor and does not give legal advice. What Lex provides is structured legal information, procedural information, and document drafting — delivered in plain English, in your language, at any time of day.
No. LexTalkAI Intelligence Ltd is a technology service provider, not a law firm. We are not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Lex is an AI — not a solicitor, barrister, or legal professional of any kind.
Our service provides legal information and procedural support only. For matters requiring a qualified solicitor, we offer LexSpeak Bridge™ — a free referral service to regulated law firms.
LexSpeakAI™ covers four areas for England and Wales matters:
Lex operates in England and Wales only. For Scotland, Northern Ireland, or matters outside these categories, Lex will tell you clearly and signpost you to the right service.
You can speak to Lex in any language. Lex will converse with you in whatever language you use. All written outputs — your transcript, documents, and email summaries — are delivered in English, as required for legal proceedings in England and Wales.
The free consultation with Lex is a full triage session. Lex will listen to your situation, assess your legal position, and give you a plain-English explanation of where you stand. At the end of the session, Lex sends you a full transcript and your Case ID by email — completely free.
If your matter requires a document, evidence bundle, or deeper analysis, Lex will recommend the right product and you can choose to purchase from there.
Products, pricing & purchases
LexSpeak™ — Complete Matter is available at the founding price of £199 until 23:59 BST on 31 August 2026. After that date, the price increases to £249. The founding price will not be extended and is not available retrospectively.
LexSpeak Annual™ covers your personal legal matters within our four areas, for England and Wales, over the 12-month period from your purchase date. As each matter arises, you talk to Lex and the relevant documents — LexSpeak Brief™, Agent™, Para™, or Counsel™ — are prepared for that matter. It also includes 12 months of LexSpeak Voice™ access.
Annual™ is provided on a fair use basis for your own personal legal matters — see clause 5.5 of our Terms. It is not a licence to generate documents for other people or for commercial or bulk purposes.
After payment is confirmed by Stripe, you'll receive a branded email from Lex within a few minutes, sent to the email address you provided at checkout. The email contains your product and next steps.
If you haven't received your email within 15 minutes, check your spam folder first, then contact us at support@lexspeakai.com with your Case ID.
One-off products are non-refundable once delivered. Each involves the immediate creation of a personalised digital service — by purchasing, you request immediate delivery and, once the service has been fully performed, the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 no longer applies. Full details are in clause 5.4 of our Terms.
Exception — material errors: if your document does not reflect the information you provided, or contains a significant factual inaccuracy, contact support@lexspeakai.com within 7 days of delivery with your Case ID. We will remake the document at no charge or issue a full refund.
Subscriptions (LexSpeak Voice™ and LexSpeak Annual™): if you cancel within 14 days of first purchasing, you'll receive a refund of that first payment, less a proportionate charge for the part of the service already supplied at your request. After 14 days, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with no pro-rata refund for the remainder of that period.
At any time — via the subscription management link in your welcome email, through the customer portal, or by emailing support@lexspeakai.com.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you can continue using the service until then. If you cancel within 14 days of first purchasing, cooling-off rights apply — see the refunds question above.
Your documents & your data
Your Case ID is created during your call with Lex and appears in every email we send you, starting with your free triage summary. It links your conversation, your documents, and your purchases together.
Include your Case ID whenever you upload documents or contact support — it lets us find your matter immediately.
Yes. The document upload panel is available on the LexSpeakAI™ homepage, and products that use your documents — such as LexSpeak Para™ and LexSpeak™ — Complete Matter — include an upload link in your confirmation email. You'll need your Case ID and the email address you used with Lex, and your files are then securely attached to your case.
Accepted formats are PDF, Word documents (.docx), and images (JPG, PNG). Maximum file size is 10MB per file, and multiple files can be uploaded together.
Uploaded and produced documents are retained securely for 90 days from delivery of your purchased product (or from upload where no purchase follows), then permanently deleted from our systems. Call transcripts and case summaries are kept for 24 months, so they remain available during ongoing proceedings. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
If you want your data deleted earlier, email privacy@lexspeakai.com with your Case ID. Deleted data is permanently purged after a 30-day window, which allows accidental requests to be reversed.
Yes. All documents are stored using AES-256 encryption in a private, access-controlled cloud storage environment. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration: ZC168413) and operate under a full GDPR-compliant data framework. Our full Data Privacy Policy is available at lexspeakai.com/privacy.html.
When you need a solicitor
LexSpeak Bridge™ is our free solicitor referral programme. If your matter requires qualified legal representation — for example, complex employment litigation or housing court proceedings — Lex will offer to refer you to a regulated solicitor firm.
Bridge™ is completely free to you as the user. The law firm pays an introduction fee to LexSpeakAI™. This arrangement is fully disclosed and operates in accordance with SRA transparency guidelines.
No. Bridge™ is only offered when your matter genuinely warrants a solicitor. Lex will always try to serve you directly first. Bridge™ is offered when the matter is complex, time-critical, or where Lex believes qualified representation gives you a meaningfully better chance of a good outcome.
A Bridge™ referral can also sit alongside our products — for example, a LexSpeak Para™ evidence bundle can be prepared for the solicitor you're referred to. The referral itself is always free to you.
What Lex can and can't help with
No. LexSpeakAI™ operates in England and Wales only. Scots law and Northern Irish law are separate legal systems and Lex is not trained on them.
If your matter relates to Scotland or Northern Ireland, Lex will tell you clearly and refer you to Citizens Advice: 0800 144 8848 (free, national helpline).
Not at this stage. Immigration law is a specialist regulated area that LexSpeakAI™ does not currently cover. Lex will decline immigration matters and signpost you to appropriate services.
No. IR35 determinations, HMRC investigations, VAT disputes, and tax avoidance matters are outside scope for the current platform. These are specialist regulated areas requiring a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser or accountant.
LexSpeak Tax™ — our voice-first tax navigation platform — is in development for self-employed and sole trader self-assessment. Register interest at lexspeaktax.com.
